This weekend, a group of us are going on another Super Working Mum group retreat.

There will be goodie bags, relaxation and spa time, workshops on 1) planning ahead for 2015 2) eating right and exercising during the Winter months and 3) Skin care class.

There will be lots of yummy food, desserts and of course SLEEP time!

A lot of the women have emailed to tell me they are looking forward to the time away, particularly so they can REST and connect with likeminded women.

Going on a Group Retreat

We live in a fast paced world, with so much bombarding our minds and stretching our bodies. It is only imperative that we constantly take time to refresh, rejuvenate and renew our body and minds.

What is a retreat?

First of all, let’s get the definition right. What does it mean to go on a retreat? Going on a retreat means taking time away from your everyday life and situation. It is a special time to relax, refresh and recharge your body, mind and spirit.  A time to connect with God.

A lot of people go on retreats by themselves which is very useful and important.

Going on a group retreat stimulates people to listen, rest, talk and refresh. This kind of experience can be therapeutic for tired bodies and drained minds.

It is a chance to give yourself some peace and calm.

For some:

  • it may be a time to step away from a hectic busy lifestyle
  • to take a break from the responsibilities of caring for children, husband or someone else
  • it could be that you are taking time away from a bad emotional situation
  • it is a time to simply have some quiet and to be left alone.
  • it may be time to get some tranquility to make some key decisions in your life

Some of the benefits of going on a group retreat are that they can:

  • Eliminate the outside distractions of your usual daily routine
  • Create a sense of shared experience and bonding
  • Set aside some uninterrupted time to solve key problems in your life
  • Allow you to step back and re-examine goals, objectives, and activities.

The Super Working Mum retreats are designed to

  • help you connect with your inner self
  • connect with God on a deeper level
  • increase your faith or to help you experience a major breakthrough
  • get away from your everyday routine, telephones, television, etc
  • provide a unique time for relaxation, inspiration, learning , uninterrupted fellowship and just having fun with like minded women

My aim for each of the SWM group retreats is that any woman who attends will make new friends and connections, get closer to God, leave recharged and strengthen to fulfil exploits in her life.

Here’s some comments from those who have attended past retreats:
